Ace was probably lost again, but didn't want to admit it to himself. He was only three years older then Mogin, twelve years old. He wasn't a Nekomimi like she was though, but was a different breed all together. He was a Inumimi, and they usually tried to keep their distance from their feline counterparts. It's not that they didn't get along; it's just that the young ones still seemed to have that slight air that they should be afraid of each other.  He wore his usual black jacket that went all the way down to the ground. It had pockets to fit anything and everything, and belts to help keep everything in place on him. He wore his favorite black boots, as well as a pair of black pants. It wasn't the best choice for being in the sun, but it didn't seem to bother him to much. He had dark blue hair, but blond ears and a blond bushy tail that usually wagged as he walked. Now though, it was down in a worried fashion, because he didn't really know where he was going.

He had left his house to bring some large balls of ribbon to his elder's house because they were running out. It was usually his father's job to bring them over, but he was busy with something else, and Ace was the only one available to bring it over. Unfortunately though, Ace had almost no sense of direction, and always got lost. None the less though, he still went, and brought a map with him in case he did get lost.

Well, he did get lost, but he had no idea how to read the map at all. It all looked the same to him, and there weren't any good landmarks that he could see. So, he wandered around, hoping that he'd find something or someone to help him find his way soon. It was starting to get late in the day, and he didn't want to be wandering around in any dark at all. He was even worse with finding things at night then in the day.

With not much else to do though, he kept walking along the path with a backpack full of tough ribbon packed inside. He came to a river and pulled out the map again, thinking that the river could be a good landmark to find his way. He unfolded it and looked at it. He looked for a long time before turning it sideways, and then upside down. Frustrated, he growled at it, scrunched it up and put it back into one of his pockets. He shifted the backpack, and then took a deep breath before starting to turn to be on his way.

Something was in the air though… it was a new smell he'd never smelled before. He looked around but didn't see anything out of the ordinary. He sniffed the air again, and sure enough, it was still there and close by. He walked down the side of the river some, making sure not to get his boots wet, and continued looking. Finally he saw what he smelled. There was something laying on a rock on the other side of the river. It started to stir and he saw it wasn't like anything he'd seen before. In fact, looking a bit closer, he'd never seen anyone that looked like she did. Frightened, he turned and ran back along the path.  While he ran though, a large ball of red ribbon fell from his bag and went to the ground. He heard it fall, but there wasn't time to stop and get it. Something told him he had to run.

He wasn't the only one that heard it fall. Mogin's ears perked up and turned to the direction of the sudden noise. She looked over to the other side of the river with one half opened eye to see what it was. It wasn't a half an hour yet, and she didn't want to move. Her eyes widened though once she saw someone running away from the river in the distance. They seemed to have dropped something, but didn't pay any mind to it. Curious, she slowly got up, grabbed her flip-flops with one hand, and bunched up her shirt to keep it dry as she crossed back.

Once she arrived back at the other shore, she dropped her flip-flops and quickly slipped them back on. She let her shirt fall back to where it normally hung, and started walking slowly up the path where she saw the figure. While walking through the slight open path, something red and slightly shiny caught her eye.  She assumed it was what the person dropped and wasn't going to mind it, but this thing was so shiny and pretty looking. Looking around to make sure no one was there, she crept up to this odd looking round and shiny object. With delight, she noticed it was a ball of ribbon like she played with at home! Happily, she pounced on it and started playing. Unlike the balls of ribbon at home, this one seemed to unwind as she played. No matter though, it was still a ball and was still very shiny.

What she didn't notice though, that as she played and as it unraveled, it started entangling her slowly. From time to time she did notice the restrictions of movement, but the shiny red ball was so much fun to play with. After a minute or two of playing, she finally noticed the predicament she was in. By then though, she could barely even move, her legs stuck against one tree, her arms stick above her head to another, and the red ball just out of her reach to continue playing. She sighed and then tried to stand up.

She went wide eyed as things started setting in. She couldn't move! Not one bit! Her flip-flops had fallen off, her legs, arms, wrists, feet… everything was entangled with the very ribbon she was playing with. Frightened she started calling out loudly for help. She kept trying to get herself free, but the more she tried, the more she restricted her own movement. She also tried gnawing at the ribbon, but it was to tough to bite through. Now more frightened, she continued calling out for help.

Her cries came short from anyone and everyone, but Ace who was slowly walking back, now looking for the ribbon that he dropped. He knew he couldn't continue without it, and so had turned back around to look for it. Upon hearing her cries for help, he dropped his backpack and started sprinting towards the noise. He parents had always told him to help those in need of help, and that's what drove him running after the girls cries for help. When he came upon her though, he stopped dead in his tracks and stared.

It was the girl from before, the one on the rock sunning herself. She seemed to recognize him too, but fell silent at the sight of him as well.  They simply stared at each other, neither moving, neither making a sound. Eventually, Ace noticed that he seemed to be staring at her feet. They were bare and seemed unusually beautiful. Noticing what he was thinking, he started to blush a little. This only made the girl more nervous.
Now this is the long awaited second part of the short story I wrote recently, inspired by this commission that I made with Kat.

It's just a little something about how I'd think My girlfriend's character, Mogin, and my character, Ace, would act when they first met, and first discovered a few things they didn't know about themselves. A little more happens in this part, but not quite much. We met Ace, and seem to notice what he's quickly learning about himself. But what else will they learn? Only time will tell X3

Hope you enjoy!~
